How the American School of AI develops its certification standards and protects what its credentials mean.
The certification standards
The American School of AI writes and maintains the standard behind each of its five credentials. The five sit on one path. A standard is what you have to show, and it is published before you pay, so you know what the credential covers and how your work will be judged. Each credential page opens the full standard and the marking guide, the checklist the person marking your work uses.
Certified AI Product Manager / Product Owner (AI-PMPO)
Sets out what a AI Product Manager / Product Owner has to show. Does backlog work with AI, from story to acceptance criteria, and judges the output.

Certified AI Project Manager (AI-PM)
Sets out what a AI Project Manager has to show. Runs status, risk and reporting with AI, and judges when the output is right.

Sets out what a Advanced AI Coach has to show. Puts AI into work that crosses teams, under named controls, and proves whether it helped.

Certified AI Integration Manager (AI-AIM)
Sets out what a AI Integration Manager has to show. Runs AI adoption for a whole organization, from sorting use cases to the executive business case, and hands in three pieces of work for independent marking.

How assessment works
Every credential is earned the same way: a published standard, live training, independent marking of your own work, and a credential for life that anyone can verify.
A Published Standard
Each credential publishes its standard and its marking guide before anyone enrolls, so you know what it covers and exactly how your work will be judged.
Live Training
You attend live online training run by an Authorized Training Provider. A starting credential takes one day. Certified Advanced AI Coach takes two days, and Certified AI Integration Manager takes three.
Independent Marking
Within 14 days of class you hand in work built on your own material. A marker who did not teach the class reads it against the marking guide, published before you enrolled, and never sees your name or your employer. Your result comes back inside 10 working days. There are three results: Not yet, Pass, Strong. You get one free chance to fix your work and hand it in again.
A Credential for Life
Pass and you receive the credential, with a Certificate ID and a digital badge. It is valid for life with no renewal fee. Anyone can confirm it at Verify a Credential.
Independence of certification decisions
The American School of AI develops the certification standards and issues the credentials. Classes are delivered by its authorized training providers, separate from the school that sets the standard. See the current list of providers.
The two roles are kept separate on purpose. A provider teaches to the standard. The school decides who has met it. The instructor who taught you does not mark your work. A marker who did not teach the class reads it against the marking guide, which was published before you enrolled, and never sees your name or your employer. There are three results, Not yet, Pass and Strong, and you can fail. A pass rate is published for each credential after its first 30 pieces of work have been marked, and not before. Who passes, who is issued a credential and whether a credential is ever taken back: those decisions belong to the American School of AI, never to a training provider.
